Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My brother was incacarated and my mother put out $15,000.00 for bail for him. Now that he is done with court and is in jail, the clerk of the court is saying they will not give the money back that it goes for his jail fees. Can they keep this money when it is not his money to keep? Thank you.

They can keep it for fines and court costs, but not for jail fees, I don't think. This is an issue that is ripe for a challenge to it. Maybe your mother should see a lawyer.
