If you have no criminal history and are facing a burglary of an occupied dwelling charge, is there a mandatory jail sentence?

The burglary laws in Florida have been made very complex recently by Florida's legislature, so you need to check with a good criminal lawyer to be sure, given your specific circumstances, but, as a general rule, burglary of an occupied dwelling by a person with no priors and no firearm does not carry a minimum mandatory jail sentence.
