Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Burglary Some Q's
Ok. There was a burglary, I'm wanted for questioning, a detective called me and told me that. he said was voluntary, what will happen if i don't go?, and if i do go can they fingerprint me without my permission (i dont want my prints on record)? And would a smallish town grab prints from a item used in a sub 500$ b&e? i got no priors...please advise. I'm supposed to call the detective back and let him know whens a good time for me to come down to the station. Im not the only suspect BTW.

You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. By reading the "Response" to your question or comment, you agree that the opinion expressed is not intended to, nor does it, create any attorney-client relationship, nor does it constitute legal advice to any person reviewing such information, nor will it be considered an attorney-client privileged communication. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.
It is usually never a good idea to go in for questioning without speaking with a good criminal lawyer first. If you do, they can not only speak with you, but also arrest you if they believe they have enough reason to do so. Prints can be taken from wherever they might be available for any size case.

Yes, detectives are detectives. They will try to obtain evidence to convict you and the easiest way is to get you to incriminate yourself, either by confessing or grabbing yor prints. Get a lawyer and don't go in.
