Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Capias

On May 6, 2000. I was arrested for 2 misdemeanors. I obtained a lawyer and did a PTI. Was assigned to Pride. At completion of pride I was instructed to return to court. My lawyer did not show up, my court date was reset. I again showed up, but my name was not called. I question the bailiff in reguard to why my name was not on the list. He stated my court date might have been changed by the court. I contacted my lawyer and he verbally stated he would handle it. Its 6 years later and in review of my criminal record I have found that these charges have not been settled. 2 Questions. Can I still get withheld Adj. and what should I do to finalize these charges.

Re: Capias

The short answer is yes you can. Unfortunately you will need a lawyer to get this straightened out. In what county did this occur?
