Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
car lot
I went car shopping for a used car. They used my debit card and froze the amount of my downpayment. I have decided not to purchace a car from them. They are giving me the run around about getting my downpayment back. What can I do?

Re: car lot
Assuming you did not sign any purchase contract, submit a request in writing to the dealership for an immediate refund.
If on the other hand you did sign a purchase contract, you should first review the contract for any type of option to cancel the contract. Once you have done that, you must follow the terms of the contract exactly to cancel the contract, including the time deadlines. If you follow the terms, that should get your money back.
