i was caught shoplifting from Claire's. it is my first offense, a one time thing, but i was wondering what to expect as punishment in court as i am 18 and thus a legal adult in Jacksonville, FL. i stole one labret earring from a box that was priced at $6.00.

As a first time offender you are probably eligible for a diversion program. This avoids having a conviction on your record. You should talk to an attorney in your area right away to see what is your best option. Good luck.
