Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Is there a charge of ''Suspicion of DUI ''?

Recently the media has been reporting famous people as being arrested on suspicion of DUI.

My question is....Can a person be arrested on mere suspicion? I'm not talking about being stopped on suspicion based on the officer's observation. I am referring to a charge of ''Suspicion of D.U.I''? If the officer had cause, the charge would be ''D.U.I'' not suspicion of D.U. I. Am I correct?

No. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. An arrested person is a suspect because he or she has not yet been convicted. How the media chooses to report a case is the decision of the media.
