Why charged with battery?
My ex was charged with battery in state of Fl. However, he never hit me and put no marks on my body. He only restrained me which is what I wrote in the police report. Why was he charged with battery then

Any unconsented to touching constitutes a battery in Florida.

In Florida any unlawful touching is considered a battery. Good luck.

The mere touching of another against their will (regardless of injury) is sufficient to amount to �battery� under Florida law.
