Can you be charged if drugs were not found on you but in a wallet with your id and found on the street, no where near you?

You can be charged however the state attorney's office would have a very difficult time proving you had knowledge of the drugs.

Yes, you can be charged. Possession can be actual possession or constructive possession, which means that you had dominion and control over the item even if it was not in your pocket at the time.
