Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Charged with 2nd deg murder
What is the standard range of sentencing? I've read the statutes and I don't understand how to find the exact sentencing term for the charge of 2nd deg murder? I'm looking for an answer in years? Is there a standard to follow for the crime vs the term of the sentence?

Re: Charged with 2nd deg murder
The maximum sentence is up to life in prison. If a firearm was used then certain other penalties require that a defendant be sentenced to serve a mandatory minimum of between 25 years to life--day for day.
