Hello,

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Please feel free to call me at 321 252 4396 to discuss your case in detail.

You may have potential defenses to raise, especially if you were pulled over in a car for the wrong reasons for example.

If there aren't any plausible defenses, a skilled defense attorney may be able to negotiate a diversion program for you. This would allow you to do some community service and then get the case dropped. After you complete the program, you may be able to get the record expunged.

Again, feel free to call me at 321 252 4396. My consultations are free of charge.

Thank you,

There are a lot of possibilities about what might happen. Although the maximum punishment is up to one year in jail and a 2 year driver license suspension, the truth is that this is unlikely considering that it is a first offense. Nonetheless, it is very serious and the possibilities of what might happen can vary from a fine to probation to even pretrial diversion (which is a lot like probation except the charges get dropped).

But what isn't known as a possibility is what legal defenses are available. I always make a point to analyze all cases, especially drug related cases, for a possible motion to suppress. Often times the police make a mistake when it comes to a search and seizure of evidence, or perhaps they improperly questioned a suspect, and when these issues are litigated the court can throw out evidence, which is always good for the defense.

I would strongly advise you consult with and retain a private defense attorney to review all of your options and get you the best possible outcome. I also offer free consultations and my office is in the Orlando area. Please call me at 407 925 2949.
