I was charged with retail theft of $1500.00 in Florida and I've never been charged with theft in my life. What can I expect to get with this being my first time ever being charged with theft?

Impossible to say what you'll actually get since there are too many variables such as the location, the judge, the prosecutor, your defense attorney, and much more. I can tell you that since the amount falls under grand theft, then you face anything from probation to 5 years prison.
