what happens if you get charged with smuggling contraband introduce to a detention facility? How much trouble will you get into?

A lot. It is a 3rd degree felony. You could get up to 5 years in prison, depending on what was smuggled in.

This is.a felony. Depending on what you are bringing in you could be looking at at least a 5 year felony. For drugs or weapons it is a 15 year felony.
