You should hire a criminal defense attorney. Unemployment fraud is a felony and is very serious. It is punishable with prison. However, these kinds of cases are referred to as "paper cases" because they are very heavy with documents and paperwork as evidence. Prosecutors have a hard time handling these kinds of cases so a knowledgable defense attorney can expose any weaknesses in the case and yield good outcomes.

Unemployment Fraud is a 3rd degree felony. Most of the time it is related to under reporting income via the call in system. Many times a lawyer can successfully negotiate with the state on cases like this to get a reduced charge or a diversion program. If you do not hire a lawyer, you will need to attend the arraignment date at which point a judge will determine if you qualify for a public defender.
