Being charged witimpersonation of a police officer

I was at MIA airport with my wife and stepson, my wife went in to the airport to get a bag from her sister when i was out in front in my dads truck. A MIPD pulls up next to me i show him my NYPD badge as i was a police officer in New York been ad been dismiss as of May 20th do to Medical issues i had not told them about from the Military so i re injured my knee and surgery. I know i was wrong by doing this the officer called nypd and they told them yes i was on the job been had been dismissed on my 20th. I do not have to founds to get help what can i do?

At your arraignment, tell the judge you cannot afford a lawyer. The judge will then decide if you qualify for a public defender.

Being a former cop, though, you know it's often better to have a private attorney than a public defender. This is especially true in Miami, where the public defender's office is notoriously and admittedly overworked. You need to somehow find the money to hire a Miami lawyer.
