Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

charges

two of my nephews was charge with attempted murder and they took the case to trial so the defendant couldn't get her story together and my nephew who was on trial first was found not guilty then his brother went for the exact same charges and there was some twistes and he was found guilty and sentence to 35 yrs yesterday please someone explain this to me

i guess there was enough evidence against the one nephew. this is not an unusual result.
