The victims of a crime can file a drop charge affidavit with the local state attorney's office, however, as is often the case, the state attorney's office does not have to drop the charges.
If you have any questions, you may call my office at 1 877 70 MUSIL or 1 877 706 8745.

The State Attorney's office will ultimately decide if they will go forward with the case or drop all charges. The "victim" has a say and the State will often get feedback from them but the State gets the final say...
