Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Civil Rights

I was convicted of a non(or un)-classified Drug Felony called maintaining a drug trafficing residence; I believe the WIS. Stature is 961.42(1). this was at least 5 years ago I served 2 years probation. Is it true that after I had finish the sentence of 2 years probation I am allowed to vote in any state I want, particular florida? If not what can I do to get my basic civil right back?

Re: Civil Rights

You would have to petition WIS for reinstatement of your civil rights. You may not vote anywhere until that happens.

If your civil rights were taken away by the courts in Wisconsin, then you would have to file a motion or petition there to have them reinstated. Under the Full Faith and Credit Act, Florida recognizes the actions of a court in another state. Until that time, there will be no way for your rights to be reinstated.
