class c felony
im being charged with a class c felony of grand theft it is the first time i have ever been charged with any thing . What kind of punishment am i looking at when i go to court

If this is a first offense, the state attorney may offer you a pretrial diversion program with restitution if required. Once you complete this program the state attorney will dismiss the charges and you can expunge your record. Be very careful not to accept a deal that will result in an adjudication of guilt or you will be a convicted felon.
