I woudl attempt to get a power of attorney signed by her in the jail or a letter authorizing your entry into the apartment. You could also attempt to request to enter based on mailing address or the license on your DL.

Good luck

Re: How can i get my clothes?

Hello: I can only give you a general answer as I need to know some other facts. First, you do not say whether she is still in jail or released. If she is still in, you may ask her to contact the landlord. You might also ask her to sign a power of attorney, granting you the limited right to sign docs. on her behalf, or perhaps get a locksmith. These all assume you two are still friendly. You may want to contact the landlord directly. Landlords have a right to enter premise to inspect the property.

Perhaps the ll would let you go along with him/her.

If you cannot do any of the above and you two are not on speaking terms, you could sue her in small claims court for the return of your belongings. This should be a last resort as litigation costs money and is time consuming. 'Hope this helped. Tom Rosenblum
