Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Cocaine Trafficking

My husband goes to trail next week for trafficking cocaine. His brother's house was raided while he was visiting and they charged him becasue one of the officiers claims that my husband confessed to him that everything they found was his. That is not true and they have no proof that he said that. They do however have one fingerprint of his on a baggie of cocaine residue. That is all they have to go on. There is nothing else tying him to anything in the house or to the house itself. He didn't live there and he wasn't near any of the drugs when they came in the house. Does the prosecution have a good case?

Re: Cocaine Trafficking

Hello:

I can feel the pain that you are experiencing. I assume that your husband is represented by counsel, and I would be curious as to his thoughts on the case. Without complete review of the evidence, it is impossible for me to render a meaningful opinion. This is a serious charge and the fact that you mention that there is an allegation by a police officer that your husband confessed together with a fingerprint is troubling. Since I am assuming that your husband is represented by counsel it also would be unethical for me to render an opinion on the matter. Check with your husbands attorney and ask him the same question, as well as whether he has been offered any type of deal, and if he believes he has sufficient"reasonable doubt" to prevail on your husband's behalf.

God speed and Good Luck
