Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
If you commit a misdemeanor such as hitting someone with you elbow as they walk by. If after the incident you tell others that it was done intentionally but in a joking manner. Can they use this against you later when you try and defend yourself later in a court or some other type of interview with someone of authority by sayinng that it was purely unintentional?

Can it be used against you, the answer is yes. Now, whether you could be convicted is another story because there has to be intent. The state undoubtedly will say that your intent is evidenced by your statement. If you're being charged, you need to get an attorney right away.
