Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
If a computer was given to someone for repair and the company told the client that his data was safe as long as it was not containing any plans for future illegal activity. Although when they looked through the hard drive one of the employees found a personal diary with dates and evidence of a murder. Then the employee looked into a murder on that date and there was a missing persons report filed a month after although they never found the body. When the employee asked his boss what he should do and the boss said don't do anything, and to repair the computer. So the ultimate question is what is the moral issue and is the employee held accountable for disclosing information?

The moral issue is probably something that should be taken up with your pastor or rabbi. It's not really a legal question not for this forum.
