Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Con Artist
In December the guy I was dating convinced me that he need my help to get a cellphone... so I did and within the 1st month he ran the bill up to almost $800.00 and the following month more than that. We got the 1st month paid off but then his bill got more and more until it totaled $2300.00. Well I had the cellphone turned off and Cingular has been working with me but still it is hard for me to comp for this bill that he ran up. Is there anything I can do?

If you made a poor decision in providing your former boyfriend a cellphone, it is your problem to deal with. Unless you are prepared to file for bankruptcy, you will have to make arrangements to pay the bill.
I would suggest that you call Cingular and to explain the situation and try to work out payment arrangements.
You can also seek reimbursement from the former boyfriend but based on the little that you have said herein, it does not sound promising. You have hopefully learned a very valuable lesson to never sign or cosign for another person's credit. If they cannot obtain the credit on their own, their is generally a very good reason why.
