Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I'm concerned that I have a misdemeanor arrest warrant. The police have not come looking for me or anything like that, but I got myself in a situation about a year ago and have been concerned that their has been a warrant ever since. Hopefully I'm just paranoid!

If there is a warrant, I'm not in a hurry to take care of it. Its not that I'm planning to run or hide or anything like that. I would just like some time to save up money to hire an attorney, post bail, pay court fees/fines, etc.

I'v already searched my state and county websites, and there is nothing listed there. I'm not sure if all warrants are posted there or not though. I thought about trying to hire an attorney just to see whether I have a warrant or not. However, if I did do that, would I be in a position of having to take care of it right away if there was one? Would the police know if an attorney looked into whether I had a warrant or not and suddenly start actively looking for me because of that if I did not turn myself in right away?

Your best bet is to contact a bail bondsman in the county where this is out of. They have access to all warrants and would be able to tell you if anything is outstanding. Plus it costs nothing to call them.
