Consequences
I am a 15 year old resident.i want to become a citizen soon.i got charged with possesion of marijuana.i amd straight A student.i participat in a drug court program.i am going to court and everything.Will i get deported to my country just for this.......trust me i learned my lesson and im going to stay out of trouble

I am not an expert in immig. law, so this is not a formal legal opinion. As an overview, I can state if you are in a diversionary program (where you agree to perform some conditions that,when completed, the case will be dropped), once the case is dropped, there would be no conviction for a crime. If there is no prosecution, it should not affect your application for citizenship. 'Hope this helps. Tom Rosenblum
