Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

contacting judge

My brother is being charged with something he did not do. A dtective friend of mine sugessted that we send a letter to the judge or state prosecutor. Is this done? Why would I contact them? Or should we not?

Re: contacting judge

A cant think of worse idea. Well meaning letters can be used as evidence against your brother. Their job is to convict your brother. Only speak with defense counsel.

I agree with the previous attorney's answer.

If you can afford an attorney I would hire one and provide this information to them; if not you can present this information to the public defender.

My office is here in Broward where I previously worked as a prosecutor.

Feel free to give me a ring and we can discuss this case further.

take care,
