Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Am I A Convicted Felony?
In Florida, I plead no contest to lewd and lascivious behavior (a felony), did probation, and adjudication was withheld; but I still have to register as a sex offender. I am now trying to apply for a job and the application asks ''have you ever been convicted of a felony?''. How do I answer this question? Is there a way to petition the court to have the case dismissed and/or my record expunged?

Re: Am I A Convicted Felony?
According to the information you provided you are not a convicted felon. Most sex cases are not sealable, but I would need to know what statute number you plead to in order to be sure.
