Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

convicted of a felony

I was convicted of related drug offenses more than 7 years ago. I was told that becuase I was adjudicated guilty my criminal record cannot be sealed. Is there any help for a person like me that has turned their life around? Today I have zero tolerance for drugs and would like to get a new job, but cannot pass a background check. Is there anything I can do to get my record sealed?
