Conviction vs Ajudication w/held on employment application
Is the term ''Ajudication with held'' the same as a conviction? An employee of ours did not put this on his application as a conviction and the probation office that handled his case has verbally indicated that it was NOT a conviction. . .please help clarify.

Re: Conviction vs Ajudication w/held on employment application
Often, as part of an agreement with the commonwealth, or as a motion by the defendant, a judge takes a case "under advisement" and requires the defendant to do or not do something during a period of time; then dismisses the case or finds that person guilty of a lesser offense.
Not knowing more regarding the specifics, I would
defer to the probation officer. If he says this is not a conviction, you should be able top rely on that representation. Perhaps, out of caution, you should obtain a clarification or confirmation of that in writing.
