You don't say what your case is, but you can ask for an attorney at your arraignment to advise you about what is going to happen and they can help you.
An arraignment is the opportunity to be informed of the formal charges against you and to enter a plea. It is advised that you plea not guilty because you do not yet have a lawyer and haven't had the opportunity to review the evidence. You might be offered a plea bargain but you also might not. You should have a lawyer to represent you. If you hire a lawyer prior to the arraignment, then he can waive your appearance and you don't have to go. If you can't afford a lawyer then you can ask for the public defender.
