Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Court

My 20 year old son was given alcohol at a house party. He was arrested for stealing a TV from the home. In the police statement the host (home owner) admitted giving alcohol to my son and 14 other guest who were all under the age of 21. My question to you is my son has never been arrested prior to this event, he was scheduled to leave for the military. We would like to ask the judge to please permit my son to go into the military instead of having a felony. What do we need to do?

Re: Court

You need to hire him a lawyer. A felony will ruin his plans for the service.

Re: Court

This can probably be accomplished but you need to be careful how you approach it. The military will not intervene on behalf of potential recruits. You need to have your attorney approach the State about the situation. I would strongly encourage you against approaching the victim of the theft. If your son has no prior record you should be able to accomplish keeping his record clear. What county is this?
