Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Credit Card Fraud

I know a man that forged his mother's signature on a credit card application, maxed out the card and can't pay the bill. His mother is going to take all available action to prosecute him. His mother did apply for two other credit cards for him. They are also maxed out and again, he can't pay these bills.

Legally, what can his mother do and what can he do?

Re: Credit Card Fraud

Well the mother can call the police and file a charge and then the state attorney can prosecute him. If that happens, then the son is looking at a criminal charge and would need to defend himself. If he were to lose or take a plea he will be ordered by the court to pay back restitution in the amount spent with the cards. All My Best, Joseph Vredevelt
