Re: Criminal Lawyer Interview for College purpose
My name is Valerie Masters. I have been a criminal defense attorney for 13 years. There are many pluses to job which include working with smart, interesting people, helping people who have serious legal problems, and the independence I have working for myself. The worst part of the job is running the business side of the practice. Yes things have changed in criminal law in the last 13 years. The sentencing guidelines are much stricter, and clients face more time than they ever did. Yes, I think I would have made the same choice again, I am very lucky to do what I do.
