Re: criminal traffic

Most likely, a large fine and the possible loss of your driving license. You may want to contact a local criminal/traffic attorney.

Re: criminal traffic

Hello: I read your question and the one response. I disagree with that response. I handle these matters in several counties in North Fla. On all tickets under 30 mph over the limit, we set the case for a hearing. My client doesn't have to go to court. I appear and ask for a withhold of adjudication of guilt, which means it is not a conviction. Thus, NO points will be assessed. The court will order some court costs to be paid.

I can only get this result if my client does not have a bad driving record or just got a withhold on another ticket recently. There are always exceptions...depends on the judge, the circumstances, etc.

When it is OVER 30 mph from the limit, yes a court appearance is required, but this can be by the atty. only if you want an atty. You can still plead No Contest and ask for a withhold of adjudication. The Court may give a brief lecture (if my client is a young person) and may raise the court costs up, but usually still allows for a withhold...no points. Nothing happens to your license. If my office can be of any assistance, please give us a call. Good luck. Tom Rosenblum
