Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I have a daughter who got arrested for Lewd&lascivious Battery. The mother of the boy did not press charges the one that is pressing charges is the State of Florida. she was bonded out of jail with no court date we cant afford a lawyer so she has a court appointed attorney. It has been almost one month now and she has not gotting any letter for a court date or hearing. someone told me that depending on the case The state Of Florida may or may not file an Information or Indictment against her can you please give me some input on this hope to here from you thank you

What you were told is correct. It sometimes takes the state several weeks or months to make a charging decision. If she was arrested, they have 175 days. If not, several years. The lack of a cooperating victim works in your daughter's favor.
