Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My daughter (16yr) had a baby with a boy (14yr) and I am getting child support paperwork from the State because she was on Medicaid. Can the state press charges against her for him being so young? Or would that have to be a family member or something?

The state makes all decisions regarding whether to press charges. This would not be triggered by child support obligations though. It would have to arise from a situation where the police investigated. In general most jurisdictions do not prosecute consensual sex between underage parties so close in age.
