Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
On the day of my trial I accidentally went to the wrong courthouse and by the time I made it to the right one I got issued a bench warrant. I went to the clerk and he filed some paper and gave me the judge number to call. I called the judge and she reassigned for another trial but told me she can't do anything about the bench warrant. My trial is 3 days away. Would my bench warrant be removed after the trial? How do I take care of my warrant if my trial is 3days away? Thank you

It may get taken care of if you win at trial. You could do a motion before hand to quash the motion as well. All this should be discussed with your attorney. If you've been charged with a crime and you go to trial without an attorney, it would be like doing brain surgery on yourself. In other words, get a professional if you haven't already.
The bench warrant should have been set aside if the case was reset for a trial date by the judge. Normally, unrepresented Defendants don't speak with judges directly unless it's during court, so I'm not sure who you spoke with...maybe a judicial assistant?
If the BW isn't set aside already, you should ask that the judge do that first thing when your case is called at trial.
I strongly suggest you get yourself an attorney to stand in between you and what could happen to you.
