Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
If a defendant is being prosecuted for murder, but evidence of counterfeiting was uncovered at his residence when searched during the course of the murder investigation, can the federal prosecutor remove the case to federal court, or can he only prosecute the counterfeiting portion of the case?

It would depend on whether the feds had jurisdiction over the murder as well. If the murder had anything to do with the counterfeiting operation, they probably have jurisdiction over it as well. But they will probably leave the murder case in state court, IMO.
