Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
if you defended a client and they were found not guilty, after case was over they confess to you they did it, what do you do?

Nothing. Their disclosure is confidential. And they can not be retried because of double jeopardy.

Nothing. My client's statements, and particularly admissions of guilt, are protected by the attorney client privilege and therefore I could never reveal them. Of course, if the client made the admission to another person, they would still be protected from criminal prosecution because they were already found not guilty. In this latter scenario, the person might still be subject to a civil lawsuit, like in the OJ Simpson case.
