Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I need a definitive answer on this parole question
I would like to know if there is a statute of limitations for federal parole violation in the state of Florida. By ''violation,'' I mean if a federal parolee were to just disappear for over 13 years. Thank you

A common myth egged on by Hollywood and ignorance. Once you are on the hook (convicted and supervised) there is not statute of limitations. Statute of limitations only effects the time from the date of the occurance of a crime to a point at which the government must charge the crime or forever be unable to. Once charged and noticed upon the defendant by summons or arrest, the time limitation is satisfied.
