what is the sentencing recommendations for a person convicted of second degree murder in florida

It depends on a number of circumstances. The maximum could be life in prison, and in Florida life means life. There is no parole anymore. It also depends on the Judge, the prosecutor, the defendant's prior criminal history or lack thereof. There may be other mitigating and aggravating circumstances.
If the Defendant consents, you may be able to discuss this with the defendant's attorney. If you are related to the victim, you should be able to discuss this with the prosecutor.
