Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

a detective asked me questions re: an altercation in which I was involved. I don't know what transpired, but the detective told me to call her on Tuesday and she had heard nothing yet if a case was to be brought against me. She said to call on Thursday, but I didn't. It's been 3 weeks. Could they still deliver a warrant? I am 73 years old and have cancer.

STOP TALKING TO THEM IMMEDIATELY! You need to get an attorney right away. The more you say, the more that will be used against you and the more likely you will be arrested. Let an attorney do the talking for you so that they don't twist your words. To answer your question, yes they can deliver a warrant anytime within the statute of limitations which can be 2 to 4 years depending on the exact charge they are seeking.
