How do you dismiss a conviction before getting sentenced? And is it a law that two individuals charged of the same crime have to be tried together?

As far as dismissal, you have to file the motion, assuming you have valid grounds to file it. As far as trying individuals together, it is not mandatory but if the state wants it that way (and generally they usually do), AND if the judge agrees then the case will be tried together. But the defense can also ask the judge that they don't be heard together.
