Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
DNA testing
My Grandson was arrested for an out standing warrant for a traffic violation. Whle in custody they told him he was being investagated for sexual battery. He informed him he wanted a lawyer. they took him to a bathroom and swabbed his penis. Again he told them he wanted a lawyer. The police informed him that they didn't need a warrant or his permission to test him. Is that legal. He just turned 18 on Jan. 23
