An Information is the "charging document" that brings a criminal case to court. Just because the police arrested you... that doesn't mean that the State of Florida will always file a criminal charge against you. The State will review the work of the police and decide for themselves. Many times, the State of Florida will file a "No Information," effectively choosing not to pursue the case brought by the police. However, in this case, Information filed means that there will be a criminal case/charge against the Defendant or person arrested.
