Domestic violence charges against a minor
My x-wife filed charges against our teen son when he slapped is younger sister during a sibbling spat.
we have joint custody of all the children. as the father of the supposed victim, can I have the charges dropped?
his court date is in two weeks.

(I really get upset when I here charges being brought in ridiculous situations) No, you cannot "drop" the case - only the State Attorney's Office can. Domestic Violence is now "over" stressed in the criminal arena and I would suggest you contact an attorney (myself for instance) to help you with this situation. Two siblings fighting is not a crime - it is part of growing up. Unfortunately the government feels otherwise. (excuse my spelling this time, please)
