Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
i have a domestic violence on my record
its my first offense..and the public defender said
that if i completed anger management and paid fees
it would no longer show on my record
and this was a DEFERRED PROSECUTION AGREEMENT
so i dont know..but id like to get it removed
what would i have to do and is it possible

Deferred prosecution is a program in which, if you complete certain conditions similar to probation, the charges are dismissed. It sounds like that's when you did. Your next step would be to seal your record. Sealing will completely remove any reference to the deferred prosecution or the arrest. Call me or e-mail me if you need assistance with that.
