Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
To Don Wagner
I received your response to my question but I am a little confused.
When you say because she was arressted that the state has 175 days to make their determination you also said after that if not years, now do you mean it can also take years as well as the 175 days or did you mean that if she was not arressted it could have taken years?
Now, if it is that the state only has 175 days then what happens if they don't make any determination within that time period? What happens to the case/charges filed against her?
Thank you

If I didn't use a comma I meant to. I meant that if she was not arrested, they would have much more time, up to several years depending on the alleged crime.
