Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Driving on suspended licence due to insurance, that was paid.
A police officer ran my tag while sitting at a red light, and it came back that he was suppose to confiscate my drivers licence and auto tag, because my licence was suspended for lack of insurance.
I had recieved a notice months before to pay may insurance by a 4/17/2006 I paid 4/13/2006. I even have the cancelled check. I have maintained insurance all along, even writen a new policy with the same company. I went home, dug out my paperwork, went online to the States website, entered my insurance info and instantly rectified my suspension, My licence is now VALID! I now have to go to court on Wed. Will this be dismissed or am I at fault?

Hello: Your case should be dropped by the State Attorney's Office so long as your proof of ins. shows it was effective when you were pulled over. 'Hope this helps. Tom Rosenblum
